Yes i know it may seem that i hate the Palm Pre, but in actuality i want it to succeed.  I want apple to get off their ass and actually give the iPhone features it should have had in the beginning.  I don’t want Palm to be snuffed out in this recession, but to come out stronger and better.

It’s just that Sprint needs to also step up their game as well.  They are making a gamble and hoping it pays off.  At the rate they are going though, it may not.

The Palm Pre may end up being a better handset then what is currently out, but like i said before we will have to wait and see.

As everyone knows, the Palm Pre will be coming out on Sprint some time in the next few months.  What many might not know is which plan you will be able to get.  Lucky for me, I have a friend that works for Sprint and knows.

So I’m betting you want to know, well here is it.  The minimum plan that you can use with the Palm Pre is the Simply Everything Plan. Yes, the $99/month plan.  From what I have seen, many people will not like this since the iPhone on At&t is less then that and you can get discounts if you really try.

The only way Sprint and Palm will get even close to what the iPhone and even Blackberry have, Sprint will need to either increase the soft cap on data (5GB) per month or come out with a new Plan just for the Pre.  If they do not, Palm will go semi silently into the night and will not come back.

Palm needs to have a GSM version on its tails of release on Sprint also.  Even if its outside the USA, there will not be enough customers to purchase it on CDMA alone.

We will have to wait and see what comes next and maybe just maybe Sprint will say something about this.

As sites have been posting recently, aka Engadget and Gizmodo, there maybe an Apple netbook on the horizon.

For many this will be the new product to push them into the realm of netbooks, others it will make them go ‘what, why?’  There have been a few renditions of what it might look like; iphone-esk or maybe even just a mini white macbook.  It wont really matter what it looks like as long as it has a legal copy of OSX and will have their great warranty for those who are looking for a travel laptop or just something smaller.  I have seen so many articles on how to mod a current netbook to run OSX that its getting very tiresome.  I would much rather just buy one from Apple and not have to worry, it will just work!

Apple has been very proud that they offer products that in all due respect, are more expensive compared to most (depending) windows running counterparts.  They did finally release a notebook for under $1k, yes only 1 dollar, but still they did.  Steve Jobs also said they cannot make a cheap system, which everyone was hoping for when the refresh of the Mac Mini came out (but failed!).  Maybe since Job’s isn’t around per say, they will be able to release a netbook.  The only thing wrong I can see with this is that they will see a drop in sales of the lower end Macbooks, which will inevitably kill of the white line.

Still, I find the idea of a Apple netbook to be a wondrous idea and my even be the next laptop I buy till I can get the coveted Unibody Macbook (or pro) as long as the price is right.   This may too be where the other shoe falls, since apple is so well known for not being ‘cheap’.  The Apple tax may hit hard, but if its anywhere near the current netbook prices then there my be a home run coming.

We can only hope to see if this will really come, or Apple is pushing a facade to distract us from seeing what they will be really releasing.

So as you can see, I have wordpress running.  I still have no skills.  Currently using a template for wordpress till i can actually get something working. Going to have to learn CSS i guess.
